# 代币经济学
NEX 是 Nexus 区块链的原生代币。本页介绍其总供应量、用途、分配状态和解锁计划。

## 用途
NEX 是 **Nexus 区块链的原生代币**。它用于支付计算和网络运行费用，并使整个生态系统中的参与者利益保持一致。以下逐一介绍各项用途。
### 交易 gas
Nexus 区块链上的每笔交易都以 NEX 支付手续费，包括价值转移、合约调用，以及未来的交易所操作。NEX 是**唯一的 gas 资产**。向网络提交任何交易都需要 NEX，因此对区块空间的需求会直接转化为对该代币的需求。gas 按交易所消耗的计算资源定价，因此较重的操作需要按比例支付更多 NEX。
### 智能合约执行
Nexus 区块链完全兼容 EVM，NEX 用于**计量部署在其上的智能合约的执行**。合约执行的每项操作都会消耗 gas，以 NEX 支付，并按所用资源定价。随着网络上可编程活动的增长（包括 DeFi、集成以及第三方构建的应用），NEX 是所有这些活动的结算资产。
### 共识与计算
