NexusCore will be the financial execution layer of the Nexus blockchain. It will run order matching, position management, risk evaluation, and liquidations at 5ms block intervals — the engine behind the Nexus Exchange.

NexusCore will run as native protocol engines.

Traders will access the Exchange via REST and WebSocket API.

Developers will access NexusCore from NexusEVM contracts or the Exchange SDK.

NexusCore and NexusEVM will operate as parallel execution domains with different block cadences: 5ms for financial execution, 1 second for smart contracts. NexusBFT will commit blocks for both layers with single-slot finality.
